Privacy and Cookie Policy

This policy describes how the personal data of users and customers who browse or make purchases on www.infinite5g.com ("Site") is processed, including the use of cookies and similar tracking tools, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and applicable Italian law.

The Site runs on the Shopify platform, which provides the technical infrastructure needed to deliver our services.

2. What data we collect

  • Identification and contact data: first name, last name, email address, phone number, shipping and/or billing address.
  • Order data: products/services purchased, travel date/destination (when needed to provide the service), order history.
  • Payment data: handled directly by our payment service providers (e.g. Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna, Satispay); we do not store your full card details on our systems.
  • Browsing and cookie data: collected as described in section 9 of this policy.
  • Communications with customer service: email, WhatsApp messages and other communications you send us.

3. Purposes and legal bases of processing

  • Order management and fulfillment (confirmation, shipping, eSIM activation, pre/post-sale support): legal basis, performance of a contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing this data is necessary to conclude and perform the contract: without it we cannot process your order.
  • Tax, accounting and legal obligations (e.g. invoicing, handling withdrawals and complaints): legal basis, legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Customer support and order-related communications: legal basis, performance of a contract and legitimate interest in providing an efficient service (art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Direct marketing (e.g. newsletters, promotional offers), when enabled: legal basis, consent of the data subject (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which can be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link in each communication or by writing to info@infinite5g.com.
  • Personalized advertising and statistical analysis via third-party cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta): legal basis, consent, as described in section 9.
  • Fraud prevention and Site security: legal basis, legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Data recipients

Your data may be shared with parties that process data as data processors or as independent controllers, including:

  • Shopify Inc., which provides the e-commerce platform and technical infrastructure for the Site;
  • payment service providers (e.g. Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna, Satispay);
  • couriers for shipping products (e.g. SDA, InPost);
  • providers of email marketing tools, customer support (e.g. WhatsApp Business) and statistical analysis;
  • tax/accounting consultants, for statutory compliance;
  • public authorities, when required by law.

5. Transfers of data outside the EU

Some of the providers listed above, in particular Shopify and certain marketing tools (Google, Meta), may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the transfer takes place on the basis of the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (e.g. standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or adequacy decisions).

6. Data retention

  • Data relating to orders, invoices and accounting documents is retained for the period required by Italian tax and civil law (generally 10 years).
  • Customer account data is retained until a deletion request is made or for the inactivity period set out in our internal procedures.
  • Data processed on the basis of consent (e.g. marketing, non-essential cookies) is retained until consent is withdrawn.

7. Automated processing

We do not carry out any solely automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

8. Your rights

As a data subject, you have the right to request at any time:

  • access to your personal data;
  • rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erasure of data, in the cases provided for by law;
  • restriction of processing;
  • objection to processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing purposes;
  • portability of data provided on the basis of the contract or consent;
  • withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

9.1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device. They are used to ensure the site works properly, remember your preferences and collect statistical information or, subject to consent, for advertising purposes.

9.2 Types of cookies used

Necessary (technical) cookies
Essential for the Site to function (e.g. cart management, security, authentication, storing cookie preferences). They do not require consent. Most are set directly by the Shopify platform (e.g. session and cart cookies) and may include, for example, cart, cart_sig, cart_ts, secure_customer_sig, _shopify_essential, _secure_session_id, localization, _tracking_consent.

Statistical/analytics cookies (third-party)
Used, subject to consent, to collect aggregated data on how the Site is used.

Profiling/marketing cookies (third-party)
Used, subject to consent, to personalize ads and measure their effectiveness.

Note: the list above shows the categories and tools actually in use; the technical names of individual cookies may vary over time based on Shopify updates and apps installed on the store. We recommend checking them periodically via the Site's cookie management tool.

9.3 Consent to the use of cookies
On your first visit to the Site, a banner appears that lets you freely choose whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies, with an "Accept" button and a "Reject" button that are equally visible, as well as the option to customize your preferences by category (statistical, marketing).

Statistical and profiling cookies are activated only after a positive, explicit action on your part (e.g. clicking "Accept" or enabling the relevant category). Simply continuing to browse, scrolling the page or closing the banner without an explicit choice does not constitute valid consent and does not activate any non-essential cookie.
