Why you cannot top up data with Infinite 5G, and why it is a choice
It is the question we get asked most often. The answer lies in how the connection works.

What the data says
A 2024 academic study of the Airalo ecosystem, carried out in 24 countries, found that 21 out of 24 eSIMs worked in roaming and that, on roaming eSIMs, about 14.5% of latency measurements exceeded 150 ms, against about 3% for physical SIMs. The study covers a single service at a specific time and results vary a lot from country to country: we cite it not to say that other eSIMs work badly, but to explain why how the connection gets from your phone to the Internet matters to us.
